Credentials offered: CWCA, CWS, or CWSP
- Eligible professions vary by credential — from allied roles like LPN/LVN, PTA, and RD (CWCA) up to RN, NP, PA, MD, DO, and more (CWS, CWSP)
- 3 years of experience where wound care was a component of your job responsibilities — it doesn't need to have been your primary role
Credentials offered: CWHS, CWHP, or CWHAP
- Open to LPN, LVN, RN, APRN, NP, PA, MD, DO, DPM, DDS, and DVM
- 2 years of experience where wound care was a component of your work — in patient care, research, or academia
Credentials offered: WCC
- Open to LPN/LVN, RN, NP, PA, PT, PTA, OT, OTA, MD, DO, and DPM
- 2 years full-time (or 4 years part-time within 5 years) of ongoing, active involvement in wound care as a component of your job responsibilities
Credentials offered: Experiential Pathway CWCN or CWCN-AP
- Requires a bachelor's degree (CWCN) or an advanced-practice nursing credential (CWCN-AP)
- 50 continuing education contact hours plus 1,500 clinical hours within the past 5 years
