Our Story
Almost 30 years of wound care education

Where it started
A founder who shaped the field
Nancy Morgan, RN, co-founded the Wound Care Education Institute® (WCEI), the National Alliance of Wound Care and Ostomy (NAWCO), and Wild On Wounds®. Starting in 2000, they trained more than 150,000 clinicians and certified more than 40,000. Nancy sold WCEI in 2017.

What came next
Growing the Next Generation of Wound Care Professionals
After selling WCEI, Nancy saw a need for practical wound care education and resources. In 2022, she acquired the Academy of Prescribers in Wound Healing (APWH) to support physicians and other prescribers. She then founded Wound Care Professionals (WCP) to bring that same focus to nurses, therapists, and support staff.
